A new study published in the June 23, 2011 New England Journal of Medicine had some interesting things to say about what foods pack on the pounds and what foods keep it off.
Here’s the results they came up with:
1. Over a 4 year period of time, a serving a day of low fat yogurt will knock eight tenths of pound off you!

2. A serving of fruit will knock off another half a pound!

3. A daily serving of organic raw nuts will knock off another generous half pound!
4. According to the study, eating a bowl of yogurt with fruit and nuts will slowly but surely knock two pounds off your body weight!

Eating French Fries on a daily basis can add 3 to 6 lbs per year!

Daily drinking of beverages sugar sweetened and high fructose corn syrup sweeteners also pack on the pounds!

Eating sweets, sugar, candy and desserts can drastically increase your weight, blood sugar and risk of heart disease, cancer and diabetes...

Last but not least is the elusive and deadly TRANS FATS...
These are found in virtually every commercial food, processed meats, fast foods, bakery goods, pastries, breads, and more...Consuming these foods made with trans fats will not only mess with your metabolism, but the long term effect of consuming these foods is...heart disease, stroke heart attack, many cancers...depression...



I urge everyone to READ labels, know where you food, coffee drinks, beverages, comes from and what it’s made from!
